Cellusuede recently had the pleasure of celebrating two incredible anniversaries. Both Lionel Perez and Isidro Carrillo have been at Cellusuede for over 40 years now. Lionel and Isidro exemplify the dedication and loyalty we see with so many of our employees at Cellusuede, and continue to do good work for the Company after all these years. Lionel Perez has worked almost every job on the factory floor over the years, while Isidro has held positions of second shift foreman and, most recently, flock production coordinator. We had a fun time celebrating with both men and sharing stories
Cellusuede is excited to announce the addition of two individuals who will help our Company continue to grow our position as a worldwide leader in short-cut fibers and pulps. Please welcome Shannon Endress and Andrei Zelenev to Cellusuede.
Shannon Endress joined Cellusuede in May of 2019 as Quality Coordinator. Shannon possesses over 15 years of Quality Control experience in both medical and automotive industries. Her knowledge of Quality Processes and Procedures from her past experiences will be of great value to Cellusuede, and we’re happy she decided to join our team. Aside from daily Quality Coordinator duties, Shannon will lead our ISO 9001:2015 efforts, along with the management of our Safety Program.
Andrei Zelenev has been hired as Cellusuede’s Technical Director as of July, 2019. Dr. Zelenev has a PhD in Physical Chemistry and spent the first 10 years of his career working in papermaking chemistries for Nalco, both in Finland and at the Corp R&D center in Naperville. In 2008 he joined the Oil and Gas expansion efforts, working mostly in developing surfactant chemistry. Andrei is the author of two technical books, 25 research articles and an inventor on over 10 patents. His materials science background will enable Cellusuede to enhance our R&D efforts, put more of an emphasis on product development and become more of a problem solving partner for our customers.
